The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook: 4 novel set: Child's Island, Who Am I?, Runaway, The World is Wrong

Steve Simpson
0/5 ( ratings)
The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook covers suicide , bullying, children of alcoholics, child abuse, self-esteem, dealing with dysfunctional homes while coping with school, learning patience with oneself while trying to change, surviving the holidays in a dysfunctional or abusive home.

The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook gives personal and firsthand experience to let its readers know they are not alone with these problems, giving examples on how others have survived and most of all hope. The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook provides resources of different avenues where one can get hope and does encourage its readers to speak with school social workers, psychologists and counselors.

Because The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook is located with young adult author Steve Simpson’s four action fiction novels the youth in crisis is not embarrassed in asking for it or being given the books. Many read Steve’s four exciting novels, Child’s Island, Runaway, Who Am I? and The World is Wrong, for entertainment, this camouflages a young person wanting to read the Handbook from unwanted attention. This also makes it much easier for a professional, concerned adult or peer to give the Handbook to a young person without having a confrontation because it’s connected with fiction novels. A fantastic gift for any young person who likes to read but possibly a lifesaving gift to a troubled teen or young adult.

Runaway is an action drama which had been endorsed by the National Runaway Safeline in their school reading curriculum. Two runaways leave their violent and broken homes with plans to survive in New York City. Unfortunately, it does not go as planned and one of them finds himself alone. He is adopted by a local street army whose toughest member is a young female. As their relationship develops and grows so does his relationship with his newfound gang, giving him new talents and abilities. As everyone begins to work on their personal vendettas it becomes the entire city’s vendettas and business.

The World is Wrong is full of adventure with touches of science fiction, comedy and romance.
After the characters compare notes and complain that nothing in their lives ever seems to be right, as well as their very distorted and conflicted memories of the past, they realize that somehow reality has been altered and that they may be responsible due to an experiment they thought had failed years previously. The good news is that their lives may not have to be as tragic as they are; the bad news is that as they start to change things they discover that a lot of the world begins to retaliate against them with each attempt to change things back, turning the story to a thriller. It’s really going to be them against the world!

Who Am I? is an original science fiction-mystery with nonstop action. While Theresa deals with her mother’s death and father’s sins as being sought after by organized crime, Steve is also being chased by his villains who are literally not from this world. Theresa and Steve learn startling things about themselves, making for a very deadly identity crisis. They are constantly being chased by their various enemies. Theresa must use her infamous wit and intelligence to outsmart them all.

Child's Island is a unique fantasy adventure. An apparent teenager is gathering runaway children from around the country to embark on a voyage to a continent he claims is hidden from the rest of the world. He offers them a chance at happiness they cannot find in this world. The voyage immediately tests the character of the runaways as they are thrown head first into conspiracies, kidnappings, and battles ranging from sword fights to high tech weapons, chases and rescues.
