Objectivity (The Atreei Book 1)

Objectivity (The Atreei Book 1)

Simon Chapman
0/5 ( ratings)
In the beginning you'll be fond of them. Some of what you see... it's clever, imaginative, creative. You even can't help finding yourself looking forward to going back and seeing how they are getting on.

But all too soon, all too soon, that feeling changes... the way they multiply, from area to area and what they do as they go, what they leave in their wake... To their planet, to each other, to the other creatures and life-forms on their world, to innocents, and even to children. Family. All else little more than cosmetics, it's the very worst that truly defines and delineates, and so you'll liken them to being an... an infection... Cannot be denied.

It's the inevitability of their end that you'll struggle with. You'll wonder how it is that you can see it but they cannot.

Your last trip there… you’ll remember vividly. You won't want to go because you know.

In time you'll wonder, as many of us do, if maybe, just maybe... it was all they were there for. Their mandate, as it were... that they were doing the only thing they ever could.
