Just a Minor Malfunction... is a science fiction digital magazine featuring professionally-reviewed short stories from indie authors. It will be published roughly twice per year. It is edited, reviewed, and published by Michael S. Alter.
This issue features nice aliens, not-so-nice aliens, *more* nice aliens, *more* not-so-nice aliens, ambivalent aliens, a train ride in New Jersey, a gas station in Wyoming, a garbage dump in India, a glowing man, a puppy, nice scientists, a not-so-nice scientist, two different machines chewing up rocks, and Major Flack Baxter. It also includes yet another science not-fiction vignette from the editor, plus our third professional cover artist.
Issue #4 features 13 stories from a dozen independent authors: Mark Brandon Allen, Michael S. Alter, Mark Huntley-James, Mike Jansen, Michael Kilman, Michael Levy, T.J. Kinsella, Anne McClane, Dutch Pearce, Jack Porteous, Ishmael Soledad, and Louise Sorensen. Additional story review and editing was provided by Louise Sorensen, and artwork was provided by Madi Aoki.
