This publication aims to provide to the designer a method for sizing, as first approximation, of rubber-metal systems. It allows not only to determine the geometry, but also the main functional characteristics, as well as the definition of the tolerance ranges usual for this type of product. The document has been drafted in the hypothesis of small displacements in order to minimize the effect of the non linearities of the rubber. We use correction factors in the formulas whose performance is annexed . Diagrams are the result of years of laboratory and industrial application and as such they should be treated.
