I liked this one! The art was nice and there was a plot. The characters were complex. I think I’ll read the rest to get the full story
It's okay. I see what they're trying to do, but I don't think it's quite successful. It feels a bit bland. I would be unlikely to read beyond the first issue.
This book has a pretty simple set up. Earth has superheroes who showed up one day in a van. They also disappear and their sidekick take over. Also, all the villains are gone and people doubt and are mean to the sidekicks for some reason, but our plucky protagonists will prove themselves.The art is actually really cute looking which would lead you to think this is going to be a fun kids book, but it's marred by some absolutely absurd albeit yet mean-spirited gratuitous anti-religious stuff. Excellent!This is awesome!relatable to today, well written, and diverse! A lovely walkthrough of some of the interesting processeces of making the comic, and a nice introduction to the writers, creators, artist, and letterror so that you can easily find more of their work! Excellent and interesting artwork, especially interesting to see the differences between distance and close in proximity scenes, beautiful artwork. Hopeful, and with really great characters!
A Nice ChangeNormally I read Marvel or DC but I decided to give this a chance not thinking much of it as it didn't have the red rectangle or the blue circle on the cover but I actually enjoyed it, I will definitely be reading the rest of the series and more after that if it comes available. Interesting startIt's a daft and funny start to the series.The mystery is interesting, if familiar, and the art is excellent.Definitely worth a look!
2.5*Fun story with fun characters. Nothing extra. I really like Blue Aura, the BBW black superheroine. She's sassy and fun.What really bothered me, and brought the story down for me, was the constant use of stupid words to cover up cussing. They could have just let them cuss a few times instead.
When you've had a rough day and want some time to relax... you might pick up a comic. Some comics are action driven- that can be okay, especially if it has decent artwork... that is NOT this comic. So maybe the comic is story driven- good writing with good characters and an interesting plot... that is so NOT this comic. What you don't want is an agenda driven comic. The art is super charming

Great start to this line of comicsGood art (although if you don't like 'Vermont's this is not for you), crisp script that sets up the characters effectively, and, more importantly, fun to read.
Cute, fast, simplisticI'm feeling like this is aimed at a younger crowd. But the characters are sympathetic, and it's a smooth read.

As soon as I saw the cover I thought, "Wow! Look at that diversity!" It's an ensemble cast of sidekicks-turned-superheroes and I was so down to try it for that alone! Not only do you get body shape and racial diversity, you also get queer representation! Given the creative team, I'm not surprised.Issue 1 is the "big event" that makes all the superheroes (who were apparently assholes) disappear, and how the sidekicks handle it. I love the use of social media and technology to communicate, as well...
HmmmI’ll give it three stars for this one. It was a bit too short for me as a graphic novel.
Fun, bright superheroes with a formulaic mysteryThis is a fun, bright new superhero universe that has a formulaic mystery and premise. Strong first issue has convinced me to read the entire mini series.
This graphic novel had an adorable art style that reminded me of a mix of gwenpool and the wicked and the divine with some modern texts in there which was awesome. There were also some behind the scenes content I also enjoyed reading. Though this volume was short it presented an all star cast of characters when it came to diversity and powers. And because of these characters I want to continue. However if you are only able to read this volume I probably would not have been satisfied with the end...
This looks like a neat start to a series, about learning how to deal with the powers we’re given.
