Riley lives in a town outside of Calgary - so naturally, he's a Flames fan and dreams of playing organized hockey but his dad, a single parent finds it's just too expensive. With the help of his uncle Zach, Riley goes to Kidsport, which helps kids pay for hockey, to turn in an application. Jarome Iginla happens to be in the office and helps Riley, even paying for a hotel room when Riley's uncle's car breaks down. From then on, Riley becomes a big fan of Iginla and promises to give back to the community just like his hero: Jarome Iginla.
