AAAAAAAH WOODSHILL! I'm so happy to be back!Ever since I binge read the first three books last year, I knew that coming back to Woodshill and seeing familiar faces again will be a great pleasure, and it was.The reason why it did take me so long, and why I kept putting it off, was not that I wasn't eager to finish this series, but that I had to mentally prepare myself for a romance trope I'm everything but fond of: the student/professor relationship. As much as I loved Everly and Nolan as seconda...
3.5 stars! Definitely my favorite book of the trilogy. In the beginning it even felt like this could just be ... a steamy ya romance without any tragic pasts? I could live with Everlys backstory, I even found it quite interesting, but Nolans edgy tragedy ruined it for me. It was (as in every other book of this series) thrown in for the simple use of giving the characters ~depth~ in the cheapest way possible. Still - I enjoyed my time.
Writing was actually good as always, but i’m not a big fan of the “teacher-student” trope. Also wasn’t a big fan of the storyline but I got through the book fast.Would definitely recommend reading the first 3 and the 5th book of the series! (Hope again is not to bad to read and I think you need to read it for the 5th book)
WOW!!!!!!
2.5 ⭐ The beginning was good. But later on this book became really boring. I listened to it on Spotify and at some point I started skipping parts. It was supposed to be the story about Everly and Nolan. In reality it is the book about Everly, her parents, her friends, cheerleading etc. Nolan is just some character we don't know much about. I read first two books in this series earlier and the plot is better written in them.
Some memo notes while reading this book, some are kinda irrelevant to the core story.(view spoiler)[- not eating the ordered food in restaurant and let it go back to show grudge- what German mother says "sheet mask"? Ok.- Ooooh, Spencer got mentioned and I thought this is the couple of #3, but now Isaac got introduced and it rang a bell that THIS is the guy's name from #3; the cute nerd. :>- Blake has a quite big role in the book and I checked the blurb for #5: Yep, Blake will be the male protag...
3 out of 5 stars! ⭐ Usually I am the biggest Mona Kasten fan but even though I enjoyed reading this book I wasn't able to connect with the protagonists. Overall, the story was to plump, too superficial and was narrated too quickly. It is the weakest part of the series so far. So here is what the romance is about: Everly Penn hatte nie vor, sich zu verlieben - schon gar nicht in ihren Dozenten. Doch Nolan Gates ist charmant, intelligent und sexy, und er ist der Einzige, bei dem Everly die dunk...
This review may contain SPOILERS!After finishing this book, I was in doubt of what I thought about it! The thing is, that despite this being an incredibly romantic and emotional story with lots of ups and downs, it still felt really hard to get through this book sometimes. Nolan and Everly were a sweet couple, no doubt about it, but they just weren't the kind of couple, I could fully get behind. I sometimes didn't understand Everly's decisions which led to me not really connecting with this char...
These books - aaah so good!!! I literally can't wait to read the final book of this series, I'm addicted :)
Disappointing. I enjoyed the previous books but this one.. I didn't feel chemistry. Moreover, it's a professor + student relationship, I really hate this kind of relationships, I tried to like it but it was impossible.
The ending was cute but sometimes I really struggled with the book. Btw I really love Blake I want to read more about him. He is the best!
weaker average.previous books in this series were better
good, but the protagonists just weren't for me
Where do I even start. First of all, I’ve read this book, because I read the previous ones, otherwise I wouldn’t have. The student-teacher trope is abusive because of the power dynamics and I don’t enjoy reading about it. I think that’s the main reason I couldn’t connect with the characters. Nolan sucks. He seems to only care about Everly whenever she’s in a vulnerable state. Like they hook up for the first time after she broke her relationship with her mother. He asks for her consent excessivel...
4.5 Stars! For me, not the best book in the series. I couldn’t actually identify with Everly as the main character and didn’t understand here decisions she made. But still, it is one of my favorite series of all time!
Ahhhhhhh I can‘t handle this! Kastens writing style is just so on point! Loving Nolan and Everly... can‘t wait for Blakes story!!!2nd read:Love them… the yearning
HOPE AGAIN“𝚂𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝙰𝚞𝚐𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚒𝚛𝚔𝚝𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚒𝚎 𝚏𝚕𝚞̈𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚎𝚜 𝚂𝚒𝚕𝚋𝚎𝚛.” [~ “𝙷𝚒𝚜 𝚎𝚢𝚎𝚜 𝚜𝚎𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚍 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚚𝚞𝚒𝚍 𝚜𝚒𝚕𝚟𝚎𝚛.”]Hope Again is the fourth book in the “Again Series” by Mona Kasten, in which Everly Penn begins an adventure of love, lust and most of all hurting. I’m not gonna lie or hold back with this review, because first of all: the description of this book makes it seem like a whole other thing than what it actually is. It sounds way more exciting than it turned out to be, in my opinion. The plot was very predi...
Last night when I finished this book, I realised something.I thought about all the characters from each book of the again-series and the concept of all of them.I came to the conclusion that 'Hope again' was always the last spot.I love the again-series!!! But I hadn't really a click with Nolan in this book. The teacher thing just can't happen in my mind. It's not that I don't like Nolan, but he doesn't sound attractive for me.So he was my least favourite boy.Everly,... was cute! I like her.She acts...
