This was incredibly clever and fun! Love that it subverts gender and theme park tropes in many ways. I look forward to reading more of this run!
This is so cute and fun! Welcome to Wanderland follows Bel, a girl who is obsessed with Wanderland Park, an amusement park near her house that has slowly lost its magical feeling over the years. However, when she finds herself in the real Wanderland, she has to put her knowledge of the amusement park to the test to navigate the new world she's found herself in.As far as I'm concerned, BOOM! is the most consistent in not only releasing amazing stories, but also ones that are chock-full of diver...
A girl who loves an amusements park so so much that she knows everything about it finds a portal to the real Wanderland, only this one is truly real.I just had to read this one when I spotted someone talking about it on Twitter + also showing some very fun looking images. It sounded like this book was right up my alley. And it was! I just adored our MC, she was so sparkly and fun, plus I just adore it when characters are so excited about something. In this case our MC knows all about Wanderland....
This is a funny start to what looks to be a cute series. We follow Bellamy, a fan obsessed with a Disneyland-esque theme park, as she goes through a door into the actual Wanderland. Meeting the characters her beloved park is based on Bellamy lives out the dream of every uber fan and learns she can make some changes to the park its self.
It’s an interesting take on make believe.
