Vamps (American Fangs Part 1 - The Bloodstone)

Vamps – Two darkly clad men break into a graveyard, so they can release a vampire named Sinastred Castile. After removing a wooden stake from his heart, one man slides a ring with a heart shaped emerald on to his right ring finger. The stone glows green and then red as the emerald changes into a ruby. Sinastred comes back to life endowed with the new abilities. Jimi Hendrix Kolve drives into Homestead, Pennsylvania to pick up twenty-two silver nylon kite string sticks he's had on back order. Utilizing one gives him the confidence to fly at will in his astral body. Homicide detective Michael LaFuria is at a murder scene looking for clues. The victim is nineteen-year-old Sarah Kay Marcell, someone he knows very well, but can't admit to knowing. Mike finds an amulet tucked inside a cigarette lighter. Sinastred Castile drives a black van out to a secluded stone house where his wife Angela Marie Castile's body has been taken. He first pulls a wooden stake from her heart then brings her back to life by using a bloodstone attached to an amulet. Krislyn LaFuria has been kidnapped and is being interrogated. Finally she escapes. Jimi must rescue Melvin and Keena. He encounters various obstacles including Luten Greck and his dark master Hithus. The vamp queen Angela Marie Castile uses her bloodstone amulet on Jimi, Melvin and Keena thrusting them into Sinasted's half dimension. Fighting for their lives becomes the order of the day while trapped there. Fortunately, they eventually hook-up with the galactic wizard Trissmagis. He has been sent to this dimension bordering Sinasted's by the All-Seeing-Eye to find and destroy Sinastred Castile and his evil vampress queen Angela Marie Castile. The remaining Mel's angels, who have been practicing astral flight and physical manipulation, fly to Blackstone castle where they meet up with Sinastred and his evil queen Angela Marie Castile. They too are banished to the dungeon dimension. With the aid of Trissmagis, Jimi and Mel's Angels escape the half dimension and go on to battle and eventually keep the evil ones at bay. Trissmaggis and Dregyon are captured by Hithus. End of the first book in the American Fangs series..
