Ryder Jarvis lives with her mother and sister on a derelict 'camel safari center' in the United States. The specks in the sky turn out to be an elite team of parachutists who have had to bail out of their aircraft during a top-secret mission.
The parachutists use the Jarvis family home as a base from which to search for a missing member of their outfit, but Ryder's suspicions are aroused. Not only are the men good-looking, charming, athletic and experts at DIY, they also clean, cook, sing, arrange flowers and discuss literature. And in everything they do they expose the imperfections of Ryder's eccentric but lazy and impractical father.
As Mom falls further under the spell of the unnervingly too-perfect parachutists, Ryder begins to worry. What hope remains that she will ever take Dad back now?
