The planet Pitwo was polluted after centuries of war, with the population now confined to cities in protective domes.
In an uneasy truce, the Astrali want technology to solve the problems whereas the Scigods, a holy race, consider technology to be the cause and want all to pray to their gods for salvation.
Jelmo, the head of the Astrali Space Science Division, develops a plan to investigate Octo, a mysterious object in the heavens, which legend suggests might help with their survival. However as this is a sacred object of the Scigods, he must maintain secrecy until the last moment.
Through his friendship with Barsog the leader of the Scigod High Council, Jelmo’s Chief Designer Terfet & Barsog’s daughter Caltri, the famous scientist who invented shield technology, set out on a mission to investigate Octo. Together with the technician Shona they have perilous journey in an attempt to find Octo’s secrets.
As soon as the rest of the Scigod council discovers the mission, anarchy breaks out and those left behind end up fighting for their lives.
