Annotated Edition of the Book of Mormon

Annotated Edition of the Book of Mormon

Jonathan Neville
0/5 ( ratings)
This book has seen unprecedented demand. The first printing sold out in a matter of days. The second printing has now finally made it to the publisher and the books are back in circulation. This particular edition seems to have struck a vital nerve among readers. Designed to be read by all Christians regardless of sect or denomination. This edition has a unique appeal perhaps because unlike almost every similar publication over the last 50 years, this one's "appeal-to-authority" is not that of the scholars, but rather the authority of Prophets and Apostles . In the world of Bible publishing "annotation" has been a staple for decades. However for readers of the Book of Mormon, it is a new concept, making this release a first-of-a-kind. The familiar text has been treated in three unique dimensions:
1st, LITERARY treatment of the text; 2nd, addition of 250 "INSIGHT" pages; 3rd, use of vast amounts of COLOR in a variety of forms. The editors chose the 1920 edition of the text, which content has not been altered; The formatting and literary presentation of the text has been revised, altered and enhanced extensively. e.g. combines verses into coherent paragraphs, then adds descriptive headers within chapters. Verse numbers are superscripted; poetical stanzas shown in their Hebraic forms; quotation marks and indentation identify voices of speakers, and much more; Ancient Hebraic writing forms such as psalms, chiasmus, parallelisms, etc. are shown in-context along with font colors which establish textual hierarchy. Over ten years in the making, this volume gives powerful testimony to the fact that the Book of Mormon is indeed a rich Hebrew literary masterpiece centered on Jesus Christ and translated through the gift and power of God. The chief-editor of this annotated edition, David R. Hocking of Raleigh, North Carolina, began the project as a way of enhancing his own study of the Book of Mormon.
