Chronicle Worlds: No Way HomeI enjoyed this science fiction anthology with stories all of a theme. The only fault I could find with it; it ended far too soon.
It's rare to find a collection that I don't skip any stories at all. Each of these Future Chronicles books has been that way. Job well done.
Some of the best Sci-fi short stories I have read in a while since reading Ted Chiang.
Stranded. These stories left me with a deep feeling of sadness. They are all in different settings and times, with a massive diversity of protagonists, but the knowledge is deep in all of them that they cannot return home. As with all FC stories they are well written and interesting, though I did have a favourite which is To Sing of Chaos and Eternal Night by Lucas Bale.
A gotta readPenalty and friends have produced an intriguing collection of tales that registers high marks on the scale of desperation and fascination...gotta read this!
Please give my Amazon review a helpful vote - https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-re...There is nothing upbeat about being exiled and never being able to return home. So, this is a generally downbeat collection of stories. The quality was generally good, although some ended a bit too abruptly. To Sing of Chaos and Eternal Night - A Cyborg spends his life fighting and dying to protect humanity from an alien race, then he discovers he's been fighting on the wrong side. There was a lot of background
When it’s so realThat you can’t bear to read on, and can’t bear not to. A wonderful addition to a wonderful series. Buy it.
