Introduction.
In today’s tumultuous times the President is in the news daily. It’s pretty much been that way since the 19th century’s days of yellow journalism. The public face of presidents, save a few, are masks of myths for public consumption. I asked myself, what’s behind the mask, what really goes on, what are they up to? As Jerry Steinfeld might ask. “Who are these people?” I imagined bizarre answers.
The three science fiction stories herein are from my anthology, STALKING KILGORE TROUT, a collection of 21 short stories. My future presidents deal with situations that might become real but are highly unlikely. One president is lackluster, one obsessively religious and the other wise but they all move history according their position and yet lesser people are often the movers who move presidents: Such is human nature. This may be where the future is heading and if so, we are in for an interesting ride.
A warning: my stories incorporate adult content and I use locker room words. There isn’t any graphic sex or overt violence but my ideas, though humorous, may offend some people which is fine with me. This is not for the thin skinned. I will count it a win if you walk away smiling and thinking outside of your box.
