ARC received in exchange for an honest review - thank you! A bit of a weird second instalment. Basically, Piper discovers four more mates from a rival pack; understandably, her existing mates aren't terribly happy about it. That makes 8 mates total. I'm a firm believer in 5 being the absolute limit for a harem that makes actual sense. Admittedly, May is such a good author that I did actually manage to remember the names and personalities of the 8, but I do think that so many men meant that so
2,5 starsI thought that it was weird with her being almost the whole book with another pack.
*Throws my kindle up in the air... and walks away..*2.5 stars. This series took a turn her at the beginning of book 2.. and I have no clue whats happening anymore.. A pack comes looking for Piper's little sister and Piper instead of turning over Megan decides she will go and make sure this pack is legit. Only for some reason, that the book never freaking explains, 3 dudes aren't enough for this girl. Instead she decides shes drawn to this new pack too. I mean I know Megan is still young but dang...
3.5 Almost Teetering to 4 StarsWell damn this is a hard one to review especially with so much left hanging in the balance. This book has me thrown from a loop because while it is a continuation of book #1 it feels so separate. And that damn cliff-hanger at the end leaves so much open I need to know what happens. I think whats thrown me the most is that this books consists of the heroine voluntarily leaving her current pack of four, the same four who are her mates. She leaves to stop a slaughter
Book 2 kicks off with a fight between Piper's (FMC) Northern Pack (Callum, Kai, Nick & Josh) & their neighbours the Shenandoah Pack (Arthur, Logan, Sebastian & Finn) for Maddie. Except Piper ends up being in the middle of it all when shes lets herself be taken instead of Maddie. Which complicates things for both packs. New Tensions and some sexual ones too. Those ones were off the charts in this book. Im enjoying this series so much. Its a great read in my opinion
Gets complicatedThe thing about May Dawson’s writing? What you THINK is going on, really isn’t. Book 1 set the stage, but book 2 takes it, flips, stretches it and changes the board completely. New players, old enemies and a plot that gets thicker as the pages stack up. Watch the cliff!
Great read!A great read with amazing characters. I love this world and the way the author brings us closer to the characters
I enjoyed this book as much, or more than the first. It's angsty and full of conflict, but it doesn't go over the top. I love these new guys and am very intrigued by how they might iron out the hostilities between Piper's pack and this new one. Honestly I'm intrigued by everything involved in this book. The title is very accurate as this book is all about the pack dynamics, while the first was all about Piper's identity and freedom. This one ends on a cliffhanger, so I NEED to read book three! T...
I love this series. May Dawson has quickly become one of my favorite authors after I stumbled upon her Wild Angels - Lilith and her harem series I’ve made it a point to stay up to date with her releases and the Their Shifter Princess series does not disappoint! The characters are developing and advancing as we continue to learn more about the Shifter community and the events around what happened to the pack all those years ago. I can’t wait for book 3 or to read anything else from this author!
Loved this trilogy. Really liked getting to know Piper and Maddie too. I thought having some many mates would be too much but it’s more about them all excepting each other and working together to fight the coven. I was drawn to this series because it was only 3 books. After that I usually lose interest and skip to the end. My only con was that I wanted more on how they all lived after in an epilogue. I would have liked to see what happens further down the line but not 10 years later in Their Shi...
Well that was an unexpected twist! This book picks up a few months from where the first left off and it was a very smooth time transition. The benefit of it being a series is there was very little background needing to be rehashed but the scale of it did make itself feel like a standalone.Piper spends most of her time in another pack-mainly to save her current pack-so we learn more about the lore and rules of pack life. The RH aspect does grow to include a possible 8 mates now rather than 4 and s...
I loved everything about this book and just couldn't put it down, fantastically written with stunning and captivating characters, Multi layers of sub plots that are easily followed and wonderful action with romance. Piper continue's to grow as the MC and becomes more endearing the further we get into this storey, The new wolves add another dynamic and i cant wait to see how the two packs combine in book 3. A must read for so many reasons. I am sure you will love these books as much as I did.
A thrilling why choose romancePiper, the newly discovered and partially recovered pack princess, has started to settle in to her new normal with Callum, Josh, Nick, and Kai, her new yet old family and pack. As the story progresses a fight between packs breaks out, a sacrifice is made, and learning the truth seems to evade them all. May Dawson’s Their Shifter Princess: Pack War is a thrilling why choose romance that leaves the reader hanging with a dangling ending. I am eagerly moving on to Their...
In pack wars Piper must protect not only Maddie but her pack from both wolves and witches.Piper really grows in this book we learn more about her past and learn more about each of her 4 men. We also meet a rival pack who despite herself piper feels drawn to especially Logan Fin Seb and their Alpha Auther but where does that leave callum Josh Nick and Kia ?Full of twist and turns love and lust with an ending that leaves you eager for book 3
Good continuation. Piper allows herself to go with the Atlantic pack in order to keep Maddie with her guys. Piper is confused when she feels a similar kind of pull to some of the other pack males. I liked most of the new characters and the continuation of the overarching plot was good. I just didn't connect with all of the guys. It would be more interesting to have Piper meet more males and then find the ones that she is drawn to...not just the next 4 guys she meets in the new pack.
This could *and should* have been a few chapters, not a whole book. Destroyed all of the build up from the first book, pacing was ground to a halt. Doubling the harem before we’d been settled with the first 4 guys was incredibly jarring, especially since the first 4 guys are completely sidelined. I’ll be reading the next one, sunk cost and all that, but yeah. This wasn’t great, really disappointing after the first built up to what feels like no payoff
