She calls for backup and the most unexpected specimen arrives in response. Cyre is the epitome of a very hot, annoyingly brilliant guy, but she doesn’t have the energy to put him in his place. The deeper Mikayla digs into the investigation, the more disturbing the revelations are. There could be a war between ancient beings, and she’s found herself right in the crosshairs.

Everyone tells her she’s chosen for a reason, but finding out why might kill her.
