A graphic account of life in Asia as experienced by an American ex-pat traveling between Afghanistan and India preceding and subsequent to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in December, 1979. With little left to the imagination, the author provides an intimate glimpse into a lifestyle few in the West can begin to imagine. The story begins in Kabul, and continues on to India and the sun splashed beaches of Goa, a former Portuguese colony south of present day Mumbai with a dazzling array of characters engaged in a variety of activities, some legal and others not. Based on a true story, the author writes with through the mature eyes of an adult looking back at all that fascinated itinerant travelers, both contemporary as well as historic figures, over time.
