The telling of the story took me back to my Father narrating tales is Sesotho to us ...just this time it was mixed with modern story telling. I loved this book ... the Author did in-depth research of history...great book .I even bought The Scattered that’s how much I enjoyed Lauri’s writing .

Good and enjoyable, stressful and confusing all at once. As always I loved the religious parts of the book. It shows how there are good Christians and bad Christians, good witches and bad witches. A good witch and a good Christian have to help each other and navigate through all the badness around them, most of the time not knowing if they can trust each other. You may be surprised who your real friends are
