The Book of Revelation outlines the final showdown between God himself and his adversary Satan, in the final days of mankind. The scripture touches upon the outbreak of Armageddon, the Four Riders of the Apocalypse, the rise of the Antichrist and the seven-headed Beast whose number is 666. Because of its dire themes, cryptic messages and prophecies of doom, the Book of Revelation has both baffled and amazed devout Christians for centuries. Penned by the anonymous Prophet John, the scripture is named after the very first world of the book – apokalypsis, which is Greek for revelation or unveiling. When Noah and Lot warned their respective people of God's coming judgment and destruction, the people would not listen. Instead they treated Noah and Lot as "extremists". Then the destruction that DID come found the people unprepared. Thus it will be when Jesus Christ returns. As in the days of Noah and Lot, the soon return of our Lord Jesus will be a snare unto the people who do not heed the warning and surrender their lives to Him who knows all.

This world is hearing and seeing the last warning message from God. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision; for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision!

The first seal represents widespread deception by a false Christianity that began in the days of the apostles . The second seal refers to the increasing devastation caused by war as the end approaches . The third seal represents increasing hunger and famines . Other consequences of war and famine are represented by the fourth seal —such things as disease, plagues and civil unrest that kill many people .

All of the events in the first four seals have been occurring, with varying frequency and intensity, from Christ’s time to our day. But they have greatly intensified over the last century and will grow even worse in the suffering mankind will have to endure nearer the end.
