Imagine a future, not so very far away, where nobody ever needs to leave their home; where everything you could ever need is there inside your own four walls. Kids are home schooled from their 'Ed Pod' computer consoles, adults work from home, food and everything you buy is delivered to your house within minutes by a vast underground network of pipes; in fact, it is illegal to go outside. But one boy is curious. Tex is a 13 year old boy who gazes out of his bedroom window every night at the same street light, at the same corner and wonders what is out there. When he sneaks out one night he discovers a world of outsiders, a secret community of those who have been left behind.
