Anarchy on A1A: A Plato Pierce Novel (Key West Adventure Series)

Anarchy on A1A: A Plato Pierce Novel (Key West Adventure Series)

John Parrot
0/5 ( ratings)
Plato Pierce was almost a rock star until the rest of the band fell through a twelfth-floor window in the midst of a recording session and went splat on the street below. That was a decade ago.

He now earns a living toiling in obscure tedium as an overnight copy-editor for the underperforming National Intruder, a Miami-based gossip magazine.

But everything changes with a phone call. A sexy-voiced Cuban offers to sell the rights to a 1950’s-era sex film starring three of the decade’s most famous faces to the magazine in order to pay ransom for her grandfather, held in the clutches of a vile homicidal descendant of one of the film’s participants.

The problem?

She doesn’t know where the film is and gramps, addled off and on by dementia, can’t recall.

With a fiercely loyal Chicago Bears fan turned private investigator and Uber-driving supermodel by his side, Plato ransacks Ernest Hemingway residences around the world, landing in the middle of the next Cuban revolution along the way, trying to track the film down, if it even exists.

But there’s another complication. Plato’s late Ponzi-scheming father left half a billion dollars hidden around the country for his son to find in his spare time. Can Plato Pierce get a girl or two, save gramps, and become unimaginably wealthy in only one book? As the song goes, two out of three ain’t bad.

For fans of Tim Dorsey and Carl Hiassen-style south Florida mystery and humorous fiction mayhem, Anarchy on A1A puts the pedal mercilessly to the metal and doesn't let it up for air.
