Murder at City Hall

Murder at City Hall

Herbert Resnicow
2.8/5 ( ratings)
Ask Ed Koch and he'll tell you: being Mayor of the city of New York is the greatest job in the world. The good news is that the fictional Ed Koch still has it. His agenda is full: from the Bronx to the Battery, from Chelsea to Chinatown, from Brooklyn Heights to Queens Boulevard, he leads the fractious, unpredictable city he loves - and never is there a dull moment. "How'm I doing?" asks the fictional Mayor of the people he devotedly serves. The answer? He's doing just fine. Even while fending off rumors that he helped a much-hated Manhattan developer acquire a $4 billion property in a sweetheart deal, he still has time to help out a good friend by arranging for her daughter to be married in the cozy chapel at City Hall. The guest list is a Who's Who of city power brokers and wannabes, supporters and opponents, friends and foes, who have all come together to celebrate the happy union. But one of the guests has more than celebrating in mind... After the wedding, when everyone has moved on to the glittering reception at the Plaza Hotel, Koch is informed that the body of the despised developer has been found in the chapel - impaled on a dagger. Talk about backstabbing! "Ridiculous!" proclaims Hizzoner when he finds himself on the N.Y.P.D.'s list of prime suspects. Drawing on his wide circle of friends - in and out of City Hall - Koch fights to clear his name while running the city and secretly following a crime trail that stretches from Grand Army Plaza to the West Side railroad yards. And if there's one thing you can be sure of, it's that he'll find a way to stop the skullduggery, expose a slew of unsavory schemes, and crack a vicious case of metropolitan murder.
