The Stars be my Father but the Earth be my Mother: The Dream of the Soul is Grow with Others

The Stars be my Father but the Earth be my Mother: The Dream of the Soul is Grow with Others

This is my personal journey of overcoming obstacles last summer. My life was flipped upside down in one week with a climax of a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. My goal of running a sub shop was over and then I was handed another challenge with the death of my grandfather, Jack. I figured I’d better start living life to the fullest, so I went on a west coast road trip alone. From stops in the Badlands, Yellowstone, Seattle, Vancouver, Crescent City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Vegas I encountered people and places I had never experienced over six weeks. I came upon so many great folks along the way and found humanity to be thriving. The beauty of the west is something to behold and I soaked it up from the Redwoods to Lower Falls. I learned more about myself, others, and this country then I thought I knew. I felt some serious growth had occurred and I thought I would share my journey with you. One of my favorite quotes is by Tim Robbins in Shawshank, “Get bust living or get busy Dying.” I hope this book inspires you to go or get what you’ve been waiting for. Go find some adventure, it makes life worth living.
