They find a hand painted jewelry box in which their mom sends them on a treasure hunt. The clues are still in tact 6 years later. They find one hanging off a tree, buried in a box underground, which they think leads them to the greatest tree - so they visit the oldest and tallest tree but fail. Then they realize the Mom was talking about their family tree, and find a hidden compartment in behind the hand painted portrait on the box.
Very sweet, short graphic novel that gives insight into what Anna and Elsa's lives were like when they were separated and how they kept their sisterly bond, even in isolation. This book also strengthens the character of their mother, and I can see her in her daughters now. Very sweet book.
I loved this. It was really cool to see some of Elsa's and Anna's memories as young children when their parents were still alive. The illustrations are wonderful and have nice little details. I enjoyed the story and thought it was sweet. It was cool to see more characters in their kingdom too.
