The only thing I liked was that she wasn’t celibate during separation either!
I'm not quite half way in and I'm still waiting for anybody I can care about. Roland doesn't really care about anybody, even himself. He's oblivious to the people he supposedly cares about and a weak coward for important things like his family's well-being. He's called in to save the family winery but weeks (literally weeks) later he's still faffing about with requests and suggestions to the father who obviously couldn't care less about the family business. Frankly, there's hints that his dad is...
Stars: 4Length: Full LengthPOV: DualSeries: Miles Family #1 (Stand alone for couple but connected, larger story arch)Ending: HEARe-read? NoShe was unraveling me, slowly but surely. I could feel it happening. Like she was gently unbuttoning the collar of a shirt that fit too tight. I could breathe when she was near, yet she still took my breath away. This was a really good book. I won't ready it again because it's not my typical type of read. In fact, I wouldn't normally pick this up but I wanted
Oh my GAWD I loved this so much. It checks so many boxes for me, but ultimately Roland and Zoe’s love for each other just melts me. And the family!!! I love them all so so so much! Cooper is hilarious and I am SO excited to read his book. Poor Leo, I’m ready for his book too, this man deserves his HEA. And Chase is hilariously clueless, the dynamic between the guys in this book was so fun to read about. I’m so glad that I started this series once it was already completed, I need so much more fro...
This is my first read by Claire Kingsley and I can definitely say it won’t be my last! I loved this first instalment of the Miles family series! This first book is a second chance romance about Roland Miles and his ex-wife. The truth is though.... this story introduces us to the other Miles family members as well! I found Leo, Cooper and Brynn more intriguing than the actual main couple! Lol!In other words, I will be continuing on with this series as soon as the next book comes out!!The Miles fa...
Nothing safe. Ridiculous how he kept the wedding ring because “he knew in his fucked up heart that he will need it again”, how hypocrite, he had OW and he was dating OW when he reunited with h, he did not fight for his “true love”.
Broken, doesn't mean it can't be fixed...I have the perfect marriage for me but it is FAR FROM PERFECT. For instance, my hubby agrees with me EVERY TIME we have a "discussion". I don't want him to agree with me, I want him to get as angry as I am so I can yell at him. Now, this might seem a little loose cannon..ish but, I'm a 44-year-old woman with HORMONES!! Sometimes I need a good yell. Hubby, unfortunately, is too nice...or maybe...he's just trying to torture me for being a hormonal shrew???
3.5 starsI'm not sure how I feel about this one. I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. I think I am going to think on it for a while before I write a review.
I didn't care for this primarily due to the heroine. I guess I am a bigger prude than I thought when I lost interest in her when she goes to her booty call boy because she is sexually driven regarding the hero. Plus her booty call is a douche bag of epic proportions. My age is showing. I don't have to have a virginal heroine, but I care as little for a heroine who behaves this way as I do when the hero does. What makes the story is the bromance between Cooper, the H's younger totally irreverent y...
It was my first reading from the author and I was positively surprised. The story flows well and the secondary characters are very interesting. I got hooked and I'm going to follow the other books about the family. I recommend!
Divorced couple getting together again... Nope, not appealing to me...
This was a sweet second chance romance. I don't know why, but Zoe rubbed me wrong through most of the story. I finally warmed up to her as she and Roland started to get back together again towards the end of this story. Roland's family members were sweet and kept this story light with their antics. There was a bit of a weird vibe between Cooper and Zoe though. I half expected them to hook up with each other midway through the story, just from the way Coop talked to her and the way Zoe seemed ope...
I really enjoyed this! The things that I thought I might dislike- a divorced couple reuniting, having spent 4 years apart getting it on with other people- didn't actually bother me in the end. I thought it was handled quite realistically (I have experienced somewhat similar circumstances myself).Cooper and Chase provided the comic relief and are funnier in this book than they were in their own books. I thought the sex was the hottest of the whole series too.
This book has everything I love. Great main characters, side characters that make me want more. Family bonds that make you smile and friendships that make your heart feel full.I normally despise second chance romances but a few manage to get past my surly biases and make me live them. This was one if them. Also, hot, hot, HOT.Read this book you guys, seriously. Laugh, swoon and be impatient with me while we wait for the next Miles family member to get their HEA!
4.5 stars! This was my first divorced couple second chance and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel. But I LOVED this. The small town, family first feels made me so happy. I absolutely loved their dynamic and watching them re-fall in love was so much fun. If you're in the mood for something that will make you feel like you're curled up next to a fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate, this is it. It's a feel good book with a little hint of family betrayal, and what happens when you have to stop
