Series Info/Source: This is a stand alone book. I got an eGalley of this book from NetGalley to review.Thoughts: This was a decent read that introduces us to a lush fantasy world and some intriguing characters. At the heart this is a “whodunit” type of mystery. The characters are trying to track down a serial killer before he/she kills again. I enjoyed this but found the pacing to be fairly slow, especially in the first half of the book.Catrin is an intriguing character and I enjoyed reading abo...
5 STARSThank you Macmillan Children's Publishing Group for this ARC! This will be published June 28th, 2022! *Let me also start by acknowledging the gorgeous cover and how perfectly it works for this book.*This murder mystery fantasy novel didn't fail to keep me on my toes. I was making my own theories constantly, flipping back and forth on who I believed to be the killer. This story follows Catrin or 'Cat', an orphaned girl placed into the hands of the Sisters of the Light as a baby, once grown...
First off a big thank you to NetGalley for this advanced copy of Blood and Moonlight! I really enjoyed the book and for me it was a 3.5 book! Plus the cover is to die for! This being an advanced copy didn't influence my rating at all.I did really enjoy this book and found many aspects of it enjoyable while I was reading. I think my favorite part of the story was definitely the mystery of it all. I really enjoyed the mystery behind figuring out who the killer was, why they were killing and how it...
"Death makes a man wax poetic, apparently."Read 65% and skimmed the rest. When I first spotted the cover, I didn't need to know anything else about this. It's a hauntingly beautiful cover that captivated me. The blood dripping down the fingers was the real seller for me. The sad thing is that beautiful covers always sucker me in and let me down. That is what happened here. The moon having mystical benefits was amazing. I loved how certain characters had heightened senses after coming into direct...
UPDATE: This cover is beautiful, but also intriguing... I love it! 😁Ohhhh I hope it's as good as The Traitor's Circle series! 🤞Follow me on Instagram 🙂
3.5/5The descriptions of the engineering work in the Sanctum Cat works at was impeccable and woven directly into the plot. So incredibly well described. Beaty really knows her stuff. Characters were alright but generally forgettable, and aside from determining who the killer is, the twists were kind of obvious. The romance between Cat and Simon felt forced.
Full RTC!!!!
What a beautiful cover and endearing main character! It has been a while since I closed the final chapter and the story is still stuck in my head. However, while reading, the story at times felt slow and I am left with a lot of unanswered questions about the world.
this looks freaking amazing oh my gosh
Thank you so much to Net Galley and to the publisher for providing me with a free copy of Blood and Moonlight by Erin Beaty in exchange for an honest review. All of the following opinions are all my own and I hope to influence some people to read this after how much I loved it!!!5 out of 5 stars - a rating that I hardly ever give.I do not give out the five-star rating lightly, but this book deserves it. I was enticed to apply for an ARC after seeing this cover a few times. It is one that I remem...

preread: why did i add this? pretty cover, that’s why.
I cannot wait for this new book to come out! Fingers crossed that it's just as good as her last series. I absolutely loved her Traitor's Circle books; they don't get nearly enough hype. If you haven't read them yet, do yourself a favor and check them out! Book one is The Traitor's Kiss
We have a coverrrrrr!!!!

Wow, this book….just wow! So so good! This story follows Catrin who works for an architect in maintaining the holy Sanctum in their city Collis. She is an orphan, and has very observant skills noticing any flaws in the construction of the Sanctum. One night, she witnesses a murder that starts an investigation involving the son of the local Comte. To clear his name, they hire their cousin Simon, who is a Venatre(or hunter as they translate) visiting from another city, to find and stop the killer....
