Bright Star

Bright Star

There’s no such thing as love at first sight...

Brightly Bowen has her life sorted. It might be quiet, safe and a little boring, but she’s about to graduate from the College of Southern Maine and start on her new career as a preschool teacher; a job which she dreamed about her entire adult life.

Austin Crowe is the edgy, tattooed, rock star/celebrity that America loves to hate. There’s hardly a day that goes by where Austin doesn’t make the tabloids for his hard-partying, often law-breaking antics.

Austin and Brightly collide when Brightly is tasked with babysitting him when he comes to play her college’s “Spring Fling” concert festival. From the start, Austin is cocky, rude, and lives up to every rumor Brightly has ever heard about him. Their personalities clash immediately, and they can’t wait to be rid of each other.

But something changes the night of the concert, and Brightly finds herself drawn to the bad boy rocker in a way she’s never felt before. Unbeknownst to her, Austin is having similar thoughts...so much so that he’s willing to give up all that he’s ever known to explore this connection to this intriguing girl-next-door, who is different from everyone he has ever met.

Together, they will learn that love at first sight might actually be real...but they will also learn that sometimes love is not enough when you’re from two different worlds. Can an LA rock star with a troubled past really live happily ever after with a preschool teacher from Maine? Can old wounds ever heal, or will they always resurface when you least expect them to? Is it possible to love someone so much, you lose yourself along the way? Is there such a thing as “happily ever after” for a mismatched pair like Brightly and Austin?
