"You and all man-kind have rested in ignorance, in a simple belief that man’s history pages tell you the truth, but the truth is hidden from one who cannot see. The stories of princesses and knights are only a remnant of reality. For middle ages began when dragons swooped down from the skies at twilight; scorching the land with fire and leaving nothing left standing. All would have been destroyed, if not for the illusions my ancestors the Cauldrin created. Still, the spread of the destruction caught many castles in its wake. Places of refuge were lost. The scattered remnants of all manner of creatures withdrew to the northern mountainous lands beyond Perish Mountains for protection. The trolls and giants retreated into the rugged cold mountain terrains of the far far north. The goblins went back to their mines digging for precious gems to offer up to the dragons for protection against attacks. As for the House of Wizard, they retreated to the northern eastern bays. Through their gifts of illusion they fared much better than the goblins hiding in their dark caves. Their magic concealed themselves well from the dragons that followed the Makor dragon, Lord Raptor. The Household of Wizard’s initially found sanctuary in an ancient prophecy. A great Cauldrin ruler of royal blood from the Household of Wizard, would align with a Makor dragon and bring peace to the realms. But not all Cauldrin agreed with the House of Wizard. There were others that foretold a different future. They could see the prophecy left room for interpretation and so they put their faith in the iron and arrow of man and their royal lineage. It was with this belief that my ancestors rebelled against the House of Wizard and maneuvered into the three ungifted royal families of men. Disguised as a religious order, we concealed our gifts of magic and resided as royal advisors, nannies and teachers; waiting till the time of the prophecy to be fulfilled. The time is now. For Cedric it was a new experience to be in court. Once a simple coach driver, now everything has changed. Now he is a knight, but not just any knight , but one given a quest to kill the darkest of dragons. However that is not his only problem. For he has lost his memory, the princess is kidnapped by a Cauldrin Wizard and a dragon, he has offended the goblins, angered the dragons and the whole magical kingdom is against him. Can a coward kill a dragon, save the princess and mankind from annihilation from the evil Cauldrin Wizard Vain and his sister Volant. But most of all, can he find his inner self and the magic that is within, to become the king of kings.
