Beth ran and ran... Under Miss Sam’s desk was a small place the right size. It was a good space for disappearing in. If she could get to her classroom, she would be all right...
An inspirational new series from a startling new talent. Beth and the Bracelets delves into the classroom politics, anxiety and the need to fit in.Beth and the Bracelets is a picture book with a difference. On the one hand, it is about the Monday morning after a little girl is not invited to a birthday party. However, it is also about emotional overload, dealing with a complicated life and ultimately about the hope adults can give to children who are different.Beth is a perfect read for helping children deal with bullying, anxiety, depression and being left out. Its heartfelt message offers hope and guidance for children and a roadmap for adults who care and want to help.
Reviews
“This gem of a story about powerful feelings is matched by expressive illustrations. Congratulations to Jessica Falconer and Gabriella Klepatski for a book that shows how it feels to be the odd one out.”
EIRLYS HUNTER, author of The Mapmakers’ Race“Beth and the Bracelets is pitch perfect in its telling. Never shying away from the complexities of childhood relationships, this magnificent book suggests hope and kindness are available in confusing times. Beth and the Bracelets makes me want to be a better person, to reach out to the people around me and make sure the ones who run as fast as they can are okay.”
