The Dream Shift is a southern, deep-fried, supernatural murder mystery. Chrysanthemum Lanier is the sheriff's deputy in the small town of Gashtrow, nestled in the deep south. When she's not sipping on sweet tea, catching up on the constant telling of gossip, she's doing her job, solving crimes. Sometimes, she has to use her special ability of shifting into other people's dreams, to get things done. It's almost time for the town's beloved Gashtrow's Beans and Bacon Festival, and the sheriff's department has been knocked right off their feet with mysteries. There is a very important missing citizen, some unsavory characters lurking around, and a dead beauty queen. The sheriff's department cannot seem to solve the murder and Chrys knows she has to do a lot of dreaming if she wants to keep Gashtrow safe.
