Slinding Home by Leslie Kelly. For now, I just read this one. The heroine made a pact with her 2 friends to seduce her fantasy guy who just happens to be Riley, the star pitcher of the baseball team. Riley meet Janie at his grandpa's Retirement Village residence. She was "just Janie" then. He was intrigued but he didn't act on it. To seduced him, Janie's friend helped her to a makeover but Riley wasn't really seduce because, first of all, he didn't recognize her at first, then he took her for a
3 stelle scarseLettura scorrevole ma troppo frettolosa nelle parti finali dei racconti.
i love baseball and romance book , got both in this book
I really liked this anthropology. Each story was linked, which was great. I love when writers can work together to create a story. These novella were about 3 best friends who decide to step out of their comfort zone and seduce a member of the local Baseball team. I loved Leto's Fever Pitch. Callie and Donovan were clearly in love with each other but couldn't figure out how to make their marriage work. Six years later, I think they finally saw what each other truly meant to them and over came the...
Pure fluff book but being someone who enjoys attending professional sporting events it was kind of fun to read a baseball book. Usually I'm not a huge fan of short stories but I really liked how this book was done with 3 stories each by a different author. Each story was about one of three good friends who decided to seduce a baseball player before the end of the season. Of course they all ended up falling madly in love with their intended targets and getting happy ever after but it was nice to
So this one was a very fast and really cute read. All 3 stories of the stories in the anthology connect together, which made it really fun. The first one was pretty good but I really loved the second 2. They are each about a different couple. All the stories flowed really well together so it wasnt as though you were reading from 3 different authors. Its even a good read for non baseball fans. Its more focused on the romance and each other the woman having one night with their "fantasy" man. So o...
Baseball. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd... and the view of mouthwatering men in tight uniforms! A sport in which the men are men...and the women like them that way. This book is about the story about the men who indulge in this All-American pastime — and the women who help them indulge in other things... Three friends join in a quest to seduce their 'dream' men and make their fantasy's become reality.5 stars.
I have always been a bit wary of anthologies, wondering how much justice can be done to characters' relationship in 50-page segments. However, this book may have just changed my feelings on that!A wonderful trio of entwining stories that effortlessly flowed into each other and could have passed as being written by one author.I liked the third story a little less than the first two but still definitely an all-round enjoyable read.
This little anthology is an easy reading for a rainy afternoon. It's short and easy and I liked it but all the three stories were really light. Those 3 friends are sad because the city baseball team is probably leaving and they work on baseball fans. But really the introduction serves to meet the young women and to know their stories with baseball related men.I liked the third story more than the other but the others two were okay too.
I enjoyed this triple shot by 3 different authors. The stories were fun & kept the plot going right through all 3 stories. My only problem with this book is that they started with the finish & worked to the beginning. I really don't like to know what's happened until I read it. This way they gave the ending of each story away before I read them.
While reading this I was craving baseball and summer. These authors paint a very fine picture of the boys of summer. Boys Of Summer is a quick read, of three enjoyable novels, all about three best friends who set out to enjoy baseball and some of its sexy players in a whole new, very hands on way.
Baseball shorts. Yup.
I love baseball.
Seemed like the stories were in the wrong order, but an ok read nonetheless.
This was one of the better little collections...maybe it was the hot, athletic men. But the men and women were fun characters with romance and hot sex...a fun quick read!
Stories were too brief, they needed to be developed further but all in all a good read for the genre.
More like 3.5 but I will give the four for getting 3 stories in one :) Short and sweet with different scenarios to each...light read :)
