Mike planned to graduate from high school in February so that he would have a head start on the other boys who would be looking for summer jobs. He was depending on this job to provide him with the money for college. But now it seemed impossible to find a job. Then the family received a letter form Uncle Frank, who had been the black sheep of the family. Now Uncle Frank had a new interest -- skindiving. He wanted Mike to take a job from him, helping to salvage ship wrecks. Since Mike has no other job, he decides to take a chance. Mike learns to SCUBA dive and salvage work seems pretty routine -- until somebody says "treasure."
