This was a really good book. It centers on Brynn, who is returning to her hometown halfway through her senior year of high school; and Tripp, Brynn’s former best friend. Both are still reeling from the murder of a well-liked teacher when they were in 8th grade. The chapters alternate between the POVs of these 2 characters. Brynn gets an internship to work on a true crime documentary and wants to explore what really happened, and Tripp is hiding a secret related to the murder. The story is fast p...
Does this book have a title? No.Does this book have a cover? No.Do I know the author? Yes. It's Karen M McManus, which is why I have marked this as tbr because if this is anything like her first four i am going to LOVE it. ok bye
(4 stars) Another YA mystery that had me in an absolute chokehold until the end! This book was so well written— from the character development, to the mystery plot, to the romance sub-plot, all of it was *chef’s kiss*. It would have been a 5 star read for me if the ending wasn’t so rushed. Don’t get me wrong— it’s a good ending. I can promise you will not anticipate the events that unfold to lead our protagonist to the killer (“killer”). The reason you will not anticipate it? Because it’s so dam...
Karen M McManus is an instant buy for me!The most exciting thing is this comes out right in time for my birthday!!
All of my favorite tropes?? McManus, you spoil me.
This week I started my YA readathon: in two days I found two BIGGEST WINNERS! Which is like hitting the jackpot. Because sometimes in one year I nearly read more than hundreds of books written in same genre, sulking with disappointment. But right now I’m truly feeling euphoric, a little exhausted because of extra adrenaline rush! Firstly I read Agathas and gave my five blazing stars! And now I just read Karen M. McManus’ best book! I read all of her works including her most popular duology of On...
Even her untitled books are suspenseful😌✨I wish I knew what this is about!!
Oh, good to know I haven’t completely lost the ability to write a review immediately after finishing it! We will all just collectively ignore how long it took me to read in the first place. The premise of Nothing More to Tell immediately felt like something more conceivable as a vehicle to tell a murder mystery involving teenagers. There’s still the standard McManus (and to be honest, probably a genre standard at this point) rotating perspectives, but this time only split between two characters.
*Many thanks to the publisher for providing my review copy.
No clue if the cover is supposed to be out bc it isn’t on her insta but it is stunning!! And the official synopsis???? This sounds amazing Title and some details are out!!! Teen journalist who interns at a true crime show who tries to solve her favourite teacher’s murder??? And the person who may have the truth is her ex best friend?? Count me in !!!!!
You don’t need any information whatsoever if it’s Karen M. McManus
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing to read and review this book!I can’t even speak. Like I have no words. This book was so good. I just finished and i’m still in shock. “One of Us is Lying” was one of the first books I read when I got into reading and when I got an ARC of this I knew I was going to love this. The plot was amazing like I don’t even know what to say. I had like so many theories but I was always proved wrong which just shows that this is already a good mystery book. I was interest...
5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the e-arc for an honest opinion. Please take in mind it’s my opinion, and everyone is allowed to have one. Karen is absolutely the queen of YA Mysteries! I loved this book. I liked to make my own predictions as to who is/ are the murderer(s), what’s going to happen next? Somethings were predictable but that didn’t stop me from continuing, since I wanted to know what’s going to happen next? The plot was really great! I’d recommend this to any...
