When Corry and her family read about a program of inviting Southern Negro students to go to school in the North, they think it's a marvelous idea. And when Lucinda Jackson accepts their invitation, they're even more excited.
But now things aren't working out exactly as they had planned. Corry finds her social life changing, and she's changing, too, in a way she finds it hard to explain to her family...or to her boyfriend Matt.
