Suicide has made its mark on the loved ones of a young teenager named Alex who violently took his own life leaving behind nothing but a book, a body, and a single suicide note. In that note Alex requests that his best friend, a young girl named Alyssa, go to their local high school, open his locker, and take possession of the book he was writing in his journal. An issue arises however, as Alyssa realizes that he didn’t leave her a code to access his locker. As Alyssa interacts with the late Alex’s family in an attempt to discover the code, she slowly becomes bitter towards them, blaming their jaded self-involvement for her friend’s depressive worldview, and ultimately his suicide. Meanwhile, the deceased Alex finds himself in a twisted and macabre set of circumstances, as he progresses through what he is forced to assume is a disgusting, other-worldly reflection of the life he once inhabited.
