Lucia wants to read anything featuring a cat or an owl. This is a silly, fluffy, story , but Lucia is entranced.
Fashion Kitty is a graphic novel about a cat with fashion-crime solving powers. She helps her friend, Mary Jane, to avoid a fashion faux pas by matching perfect outfits for her, and helps her to get revenge on the popular girl in school who tried to make her wear a silly outfit. In the end, the popular girl gets teased and Mary Jane comes to her aid, showing how kindness is always the best way to act, even if someone has been mean to you. This graphic novel is very “girly.” The illustrations are...
OH MY GOD. THE NOSTALGIA IS ABOUT TO KILL ME IN MY SLEEP. I have many good memories with this book. I picked it up at the library when I was about eight or nine years old, and I was instantly obsessed. Unfortunately, I never ended up finding/reading any of the others (insert eight-year-old self screeching in agony here), but this book is partly what inspired me to want to write. Oh, the fond memories of Fashion Kitty...<3

Fashion Kitty is such a fun book to read. The illustrations are so much fun to look at. Most of the graphics are in different shades of pink, but some black and white comes through. In the middle of the book there are a few pages that you can cut along the lines and interact with different outfits for the kitty. This is always great to have in children's book as it helps the children get involved in the story and be creative! The story had good moral to it as well as fun pictures and humorous te...
1. 4th-6th grade2. This book is about a fashionable kitty cat that happens to get superpowers for her birthday. Those superpowers consists of her being able to mix and match hundreds of outfits in a single second. She uses those powers to help out her friends and peers who are having fashion emergencies. 3. I think students would like reading this book if they have an eye for fashion or superhero books. This book is adorable but also really cool. I like how long it is and the different style of
Fashion Kitty by: Charise Mericle Harper Fashion Kitty is a graphic novel about a cat that has a good fashion sense. The cat has crime solving abilities that of course are fashion. She goes to help her friend who is having a fashion crisis. She gets her friend Mary Jane together with a now matching outfit. This book is great for children to read because it expresses that it is okay to be yourself. This is something I believe all children need to read. It is a fun read for the ages 8-12, or anyon...
"Fashion Kitty" by Charise Mercile Harper is a story of a Kitty who gets into fashion after a pile of fashion magazines fall on her head on her birthday. She kicks it up and notch and becomes a fashion hero!I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to young girls. Girls love fashion, and so they can really relate to and enjoy this book. The story had great humor in it which definitely enhances the enjoyment of the story. As a teacher, I'm not sure I would read this aloud to my class,...
The summery they have for this book is not correct. This is about a kitty who loves to combine all sorts of patterns and colors to make great outfits. She hits her head and becomes a fashion super hero. Find out more of what happened by reading this super fun book! It was an OK book for me. It cracked me up when fashion kitty's sister Lana wore her underwear on the outside of her tights!Jody recommends this book for Piper but she says not to tell piper because she wants to find it for her birthd...
Fashion Kitty is an exciting tale of a cat who becomes a superhero. She saves the day by helping other young cats with their fashion emergencies and day to day struggles they may face. The story also brings in important topics to be addressed with elementary age kids, like bullying and self- acceptance. With such an adorable concept and unique approach towards teaching necessary lessons, it's no wonder that Fashion Kitty is so entertaining and popular for elementary school students. The colorful...
Not my type but reminded me of my childhood
Fashion Kitty by Charise Harper is a fun graphic novel for children. It reassures children that being unusual and different from everyone else is not a bad thing. It teaches children to accept people for who they are and to be kind to them. I loved how this book related to the Cinderella story-line with the evil step sisters and step-mother since Kiki's life was ruined when her father decided to remarry and move the family to the other side of the country. I think many students could relate to h...
I liked this book because it should lot of friendship.
Excellent for little ones.
Fashion Kitty is about a cat family with a mouse for a pet. On Kiki's birthday, a disaster happens with her birthday cake, the candles, and a shelf of fashion magazines falling on her head as she was blowing out the candles. Because of this, Kiki turned into the Fashion Kitty, where she had a secret costume to disguise her looks and could fly. She flew to a classmates house to help her decide what to wear to school, and even played a mean trick on the most popular and rude girl in school. This b...
This book, Fashion Kitty, is very girly filled with tons of fashion and pink. It is weird to me because it is mainly about being made fun because of what you wear, which I don't feel is a huge issue and young kids wouldn't really care much about it. This book is supposed to be about self-esteem, but Kiki seeks out those who don't dress the way she does, and helps them to be more stylish. This is sending the message to kids that they are not free to express their own dress style. Kiki also uses t...
A true work of art.
Kiki Kitty is just her normal, fashionable, kitty self...until one day an unexplainable event occurs and she is given fashion super powers! Fashion Kitty is born, with the abilities to to help little kitties everywhere with their fashion crises. Fun, silly, and girly, Fashion Kitty is a quick read with lots of appeal. The pictures are adorable. The storyline is very simple and pretty wacky/a bit nonsensical...kind of like something a kid would make up. I could see this inspiring kids to make the...
Ah, this was so much better than Babymouse! While they both have similar girlie audiences and hype up the pink, Fashion Kitty is surprisingly not so materialistic, whiney, and self-centered. As the back of the novel points out, she has a (mostly) good heart. The first volume also seems more about dressing to look good than fashion and has some great funny moments.
Fashion Kitty By Mericle HarperNo awardsGrades: 3rd- 4th Summary: Kiki is a slightly odd cat with a great sense of fashion. On her birthday, she discovered she has fashion powers. She now can, mix and match hundreds of outfits in a single second. Kiki helps other cats by preventing them from making fashion mistakes.Review: This book is so cute!
