The Girl In Dangerous WatersA good thriller to read. Emma Griffin once again finds herself in a quest for justice as she vacations on an island resort that is not at all the paradise that it first appears to be. Follow her as she encounters the beauty of the island but soon finds herself confronted by the worst of crimes as she fights for her life while struggling to save others.
A little disappointingI usually start off my reviews with this author and this series with a slam dunk. Not this time however. I feel that in the past books, the main character, was strong and fearless. This book made her seem fearful and dependent. Also, it was so much build up to the main event, that when you finally get to it, it is rushed. I won't be giving up on this author but hopefully it will be better next time.
The whole series is great.I love Emma's power of observation. How she picks up on little things and then puts them all together to ferret out a nefarious plot, and then solve the crime. I like to try to figure out who the bad guy is, before I read it, but I'm always wrong. I can figure out some of the plots, and this gives me hope! I have read most all of her books. Now, on to #9.
Book 8 of Emma Griffin FBI has been the 1st thus far with no real flashback (other than a brief chapter to fill us in to what happened shortly after Greg's death). Like many in the series the action does not really pick up until half way through. The 1st half of the chapter is spent going over Greg's investigation, and Emma's struggle with his death. We essentially are just following her through her daily routine, until she wins an all-expense paid trip to an exclusive island resort. Let me paus...
It’s been a year since the body of FBI agent Emma Griffin's ex-boyfriend was found on the beach. His death remains as mysterious as ever, the truth has yet to be revealed.Emma still cannot escape the feeling of guilt, regret, and grief that follows her daily.Until a girls night with her best friend brought an unexpected surprise.A week-long-all-expense paid vacation to an exclusive island resort.Being in paradise should be the perfect way to clear her mind… But, when a body turns up and girls sta...
Detailed writing! Great ending. Anxious to see what happens next!I waited for this book to come out. When I first started it, I was a little disappointed because it moved so slowly; unlike her previous books. But, oh my, it got interesting real fast. Only Emma could get involved in a case while on vacation. The writing was so detailed that I felt I was right there with her. The ending floored me! Now, I'm anxiously awaiting the next book! Who is that mystery man?!
Awesome mystery series! This entire series kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. Kudos to Ms. Rivers and her ability to make me unable to lay the book down. I have so enjoyed reading about Emma and Sam and all that has transpired in getting to where they are now. As always, I now anxiously anticipate the continuing book to come soon. If you enjoy hair-raising mysteries, you won't be disappointed with Ms. Rivers' writings.
Emma is at it again!Emma has a mind like a computer. She has focus and ferrets out the tiniest details. But she doesn't know how to turn if off. It continually messes with her private life. I'm not sure how she keeps such loyal friends. And now she's diving right back into the pool. Don't you wonder how she was really chosen for this dream vacation. Who is Dragon? What's coming next?
Warnings: Cult, blood, death. My Rating: 4.5 starsThis one can be read as a standalone as it is the start of a new background mystery that doesn't appear to have anything to do with the previous one in the first seven books. Dangerous Waters starts with Emma still dealing with what happened at the end of book seven. But we also see her getting the chance to go on an all-expense-paid trip to a private island. Sam can't go because of a case he's working on so instead she takes Bellamy and Eric wit...
Book Review: The Girl in Dangerous Waters by A.J. Rivers ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book starts a brand new mystery for Emma Griffin. While she is trying to figure out her next move in her career, she wins an all expense paid trip to a remote island for 3 people. When she gets there, someone is found dead on her third day. Then it is all about trying to find out what happened. The police are saying that she slipped and fell, but Emma is not buying it. We are taken through her investigation and learning more...
I enjoyed reading this book, but I hadn't read the other books in the series. The first section of the book contains spoilers so if you're interested in the series, read the other books first.Emma wins a trip to a luxury resort. Her current boyfriend can't come so she brings 2 friends instead. Although it's a gorgeous resort and the employees are happy to help, something seems amiss. Then things start happening - like a body floating in the pool. Emma is FBI and she can't let it go.I enjoyed the...
Three starsA brief synopsis: As Emma is being pressured to take time away from the FBI she finds out she has accidentally won a sweepstakes to relax at a resort on a secluded island. Quickly after her trip begins Emma gets the feeling that something is off at this resort. When a woman is found dead in the pool with some questionable wounds and security is all too quick to brush it off as an accident Emma decides it’s time to start asking more questionsMy review: This was a pretty good book and a...
