Room For One More contains twelve short stories and four poems, each paired with a beautiful illustration. Inspired by a wide range of myth, folklore, and urban legend, as well as each other, these tales follow the winding roads through the Underworld out onto the empty highways of the American West, with a number of intriguing stops along the way.
A musician finds himself on an unexpected journey while a musical hero contemplates his role in a strange place. Bodies are small and desire is large, and we cannot always tell the difference, but a talented music teacher is desperate not to be late for an important interview.

One young woman learns a powerful lesson from a pitiful plant, another yearns for a world that is not hers, a third seeks friendship and discovers something more, while a fourth travels to an odd hut in search of healing.

There is violence in letting go, but one gifted creature cannot let tragedy strike without trying to stop it, no matter how hopeless it seems. Some jobs are eternal and you can never properly prepare, and sometimes no matter how much you gather, you will never feel whole.

No one stops for hitchhikers these days it seems, not even those that prey on them. They say the best revenge is a deed well done, for never once has a blade cut through the wind.
