4.5 stars rounded up! This is a strong collection of horror stories and I had a great time reading this anthology! These 13 stories feature different kinds of horror ranging from the supernatural to cannibalism to creature feature and more. My favourites: Kerri Speller’s Vermin is a bone-chilling story of a woman meeting a strange person with a disturbing mask. Rebecca Rowland’s The Munchies is a dark comedy about a pregnant woman with a dangerous craving. Frederick Pangbourne’s Tea For Two is a...
The Abyss Within is such a fun anthology. It's is perfect for anyone new to the horror genre, but it's also great for any veteran horror readers just looking for something short and light. The themes stretch from very human struggles to witchcraft and zombies, and the exploration of all of these was thoroughly enjoyable. All the profits made go to Women's Aid, so it's certainly a worthy read!

This particular anthology has a story for everyone, with themes varying from the undead, to cults, to good old fashioned revenge. Of course, with varying authors and styles, you may not enj...
While not usually a fan of horror, I like to try to read at least one book a year to keep my hand in. I have a child who loves horror and scary films so I need to keep up. As The Abyss Within also donated money to women's charity it was a win-win. I always like a new twist on an old tale also and see how short stories can deliver a surprise ending. To this end, I was not disappointed though I no longer wish to go out on Halloween, find bunnies cute, or would now ever visit small quaint English v...
