I wanted to like this one, I really did. But despite the heroine's apparent history as an astute business woman, she spent the first couple chapters acting so darned stupid. Eventually I ran out of sympathy and stopped caring about how she would dig herself out of this mess.

The first half of this book is really slow. It picks up once BeBe and company head to Florida. Though this book got rave reviews from other library patrons, I didn't like it. I couldn't like BeBe. I don't have anything in common with BeBe and found her hard to relate to. I found it hard to believe anyone could be that naive and trusting, especially after two ex-husbands and an ex-fiance. Her plan to get her money back is not at all legal and I could not believe that her friends would go along w

great combination of friendship, adventure, romance, food, bargain-hunting, and redecorating. I liked this! didn't realize til now this is a #2 in a series, I will have to read #1. One thing I didn't like is how most of the chapters are written from Bebe's perspective, but periodically a chapter will say "Weezie" and come from her perspective. I felt this really broke the flow of the novel.

Another cute and quirky book by Mary Kay Andrews. # 2 in the Southern series was pretty good with just a few slower parts. The typical happily ever after ending, but that’s OK with these books.

3.5 stars...fun to be back with Bebe & Weezie again!

It took me a while to get into this one, simply because I read it immediately following Savannah Blues and it took me a little while to get used to reading with BeBe as the main character instead of Weezie. I enjoyed the story and it kept me turning pages trying to figure out how it was going to work out. Quite unrealistic in the legal aspects of scamming and getting away with it... I figure there's slim to none chance of that working out in real life, but good thing it's fiction. Bugs me a bit

What a fun read! Mary Kay Andrews brings the south and its' belles, to life! This story is about Bebe and her troubles. She gets conned and makes it her mission to con the con man, AND...well, i will not give too much away, but it has a happy ending!This is a great beach read and a winter read on the couch in front of the fire....enjoy.

I would have liked this more if I liked Bebe (pronounced BAY-BAY) more.
