Spoilers aheadI had to edit my original thoughts, I didn't even read the blurb before getting this because this is an author I sorta trusted.....but the h having once been with his brother and him having married her best friend is a little too much keeping it in the family for me. The world's a big place there must have been other options man Nope
2.5 STARS Firstly, the cover isn't fitting in my opinion. It made me think that it would be a cheap summer / holiday romance and it wouldn’t be my cuppa, but that was not the case. Okay, yeah. It wasn't my cuppa, but it wasn't a sweet holiday romance either. It was darker, more angsty, there was some drama and suspense, and the story took place mainly in winter. Why have I chosen this book? I always wanted to read some book by this author, but I guess I should have started with another one... Thi...
Ok, this was a good read. It was a 4.5 star read, right up until... well.SPOILERS. SPOILERS INCOMING. LOOK AWAY! Or read on. Whichever.************************************************************So, Remi and Brick finally discuss WHY he has rejected her for a decade, WHY he married her BFF, WHY he made out with her and think they were something then ditched town overnight. His reason? Because he was convinced she was just like his mother, and didn't want the small town life. Now, mind you, he ne...
4.5 You Are Worthy Stars* * * * 1/2 Spoiler FreeSince I have read romance, one of the main conflicts presented is the idea that one of the partners feels they aren't worthy of the other. There is something in the past, maybe not even of their doing that has caused this feeling of not being able to fully love the other person. It can cause so much pain and misunderstandings...and reflects so much of Real Life. Lucy Score took this concept and gave us the ultimate look at how this feeling can tie
I mean if a guy DOESN'T sleep with and marry my best friend, can I ever truly believe he loves me? 🤔🙄😂
﹙four stars﹚so messy yet so beautiful rtc
So disappointed!! This book was not safe for me. I hate books like this. How is it romantic when the hero is in love with the heroine but marries someone else?! Not only did he marry someone else but he married her best friend!! After the heroine chases him and begged for him to give them a shot! Ugh, so so disappointed!!! If you like disloyal hero’s and doormat heroines definitely give this book a try! And if you don’t try Lucy’s much better book by a thread!
Powerful. Thrilling. Magnificent. Breathtaking. Lucy’s best book yet. Again. The visceral longing Remi and Brick feel for each other is palpable and leaps off the page. What is not clear at first, and brilliantly doled out like breadcrumbs, is what is holding Brick back. The slow burn is enough to make you want to throw your Kindle across the room, but the payoff is HUGE! Well worth the wait! Remi and Brick make you FEEL, and it’s the best thing ever. Sexy doesn’t even begin to cover it. Set on
Forever Never is officially a favorite for 2021! 6 stars! From the amazing characters to the suspense, this was exciting, entertaining, intense, and all kinds of sexy. There was a phenomenal build as everything unfolded. This was a thrilling read that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.Remi and Brick were fantastic! They had a brilliant frenemies vibe happening and I loved the tension, animosity, and verbal sparring. Remi was a wild and creative force of nature. She was in a tough spo...
No. Just no. Bad. Bad. Bad. And I love Lucy’s books. Hanging by a Thread was great, Rock Bottom Girl was charming. But this book was really terrible for me. Cringy, teeth grinding, skipped pages and pages, even a chapter or two just to get it over with. Side characters never received any page time because, after 15 years of pining after each other, the few months this book takes place in is mostly page after page of unnecessary sex scenes over and over. 5-6 pages at times!!! Everything is going
WOW!!!Intense, sizzling, and hot. Probably the hottest book I've read by this author yet. It went from intense slow burn, with so much longing, teasing, and soulful heart to an amazingly sexy and scorching hot romance. The cover doesn't do it justice.Full review to come...___________________________________I received a copy of this book from the author for free in exchange for an honest review. Part of me doesn’t even want to write this review. I’m in a very “what’s the point” place, mentally. But I’m going to say a few things - mostly about me or about my reaction to this book. So take this for whatever it’s worth. I liked the first 40%. And bc this book is about 1000 pages long - that’s actually a lot to like! The heroine was cute. The hero had that...hero complex thing going on. I wanted to unravel the little mysteries. And I was really rooting for them to get together. Around 46% t...
This is the first time I don't finish a book by Lucy and the second time I wonder if it was written by the same Lucy of the Blue Moon series, so I guess I have to face the fact that she is not only capable but very good at writing misogynistic crap. I tried, really did, almost reached the 70% mark, but I was starting to feel nauseous and I hate food waste so I just gave up and dropped it.The book was way too crappy for me to bother listing everything that was wrong with it, so let me just give y...
This book was a real struggle for me and I am scratching my head a bit with the high reviews. I guess it's just me? I hated Brick. There, I said it. So help me, he treated her like a child throughout the ENTIRE BOOK! Lecturing her, yelling at her, threatening to punish her, it was so freaking annoying. And he got turned on JUST BY YELLING AT HER. It started to get really annoying that treating her like a child turned him on. Remi was fine in the beginning -- I thought she was an independent and
This book was entertaining but 540 pages is too much, there were a lot of rambling and not many chapters going to the point.Lesser words could be used to convey the message.
This was a beautifully written book. I think it will go on my Re read pile.I am not sure that I bought that the H felt he was just being used by the h for sex when he knew how long she’d loved him for. And she apologised for making him think it was all just for sex and vowed to work harder. This is after he’d pushed her away for years and had gotten married and divorced to her best friend. He had his reasons but that still made me go wtf to his conclusion that h was in it just for the sex.Despit...
