A great continuation in the series. I do just love America Chavez!

Listen this is a really great comic. Some may disagree with me and maybe it’s because I don’t have much background related to America Chavez but I’m digging her origin story. At the end of the first issue there was a cliff hanger that made readers believe that her family could possibly be hurt. Whoever tried to attack them did so to grab her attention. The story is told in a series of flashbacks as America struggles with her adoption. She loves her adoptive family but at the same time she strugg...
I don't care much about this but I will continue. I don't like how they are redoing America's entire background. I wonder if this was meant to be 5 issues or if it was cancelled.
Oh. Oh, this is GOOD. It’s even sparking an interest in West Coast Avengers, which is a sentence I never thought I would utter.
My Thoughts On: America Chavez: Made in the USA #21. Oh, America... Let your adopted family and your adopted brother love you! Please, for me?2. The level of sass from America in this issue... So good! "Were looter this stubborn... in that parallelogram place?" "It was a utopia... There were no looters."3. Ugh, the family stuff in this is KILLING ME! The Santanas are so nice, and they're just trying to help a girl who is basically their daughter, but America is also a little girl who's scared an...
Catching up on this because I heard changes were made to America's backstory. This still appears to be building up to the retcon, so I'm quite confused. Interestingly, what made me like this series more than the last one was that we're finally getting a better look at America's childhood. So, I'm curious about where this is going to go. I'm kinda sad we're getting a speedrun of America's rebellious hero teen years. I think I would've liked a series about her life just during that time, to be hon...
This continues to be a really solid comic, weaving America Chavez's origin story in with a story of her past coming back to haunt her.So far, everything's still very much a mystery, but from the way tis issue ended, I think we're about to get some answers. The writing still feels a little clunky and disjointed in places, but that's more than made up for by the overall quality. And, of course, Carlos Gomez' art is as outstanding as ever.I've liked this character since I first encountered her in th...
love seeing her growth as a hero and her adopted family, also always down for a kate cameo
I'm loving this. So much more than the last. There's actual depth to her story. There are layers of stories. I did often get confused on the switching back in time. Like I would read the whole page before I noticed the date mentioned. But that's probably just me.
