Longer review to come, but here's the TLDR: Amazing worldbuilding and a plot that never stops does hamper character development, but it's overall a very solid YA fantasy standalone that I would generally recommend to readers of YA fantasy - 3.5 stars rounded up to four. Thanks to Feiwel & Friends and Netgalley for the eARC which I received in exchange for an unbiased review - Princess of Souls is scheduled for release in October of 2022.
The cover was revealed and it was amazing AAAAHHHHHHH I HAVE A FEELING I'LL LOVE THIS BOOK JUST AS MUCH AS I LOVED TKAK. Alexandra Christo never disappoints!
2/25/22 mmmm.. hmmso im not sure how i feel abt the cover...its.. not bad??
Update: The cover is rather disappointing, but it's not so bad._________________________________I never liked the world in TKAK, so I have a feeling I'm not going to like this.Only here for the cover reveal.

I don’t have any strong emotions about the characters or the plot but this book definitely held my attention all the way to the end! If you enjoy re-tellings (though I will say this is very loosely based) then I would recommend checking this one out! I would also recommend this is you enjoy the fast paced nature of YA fantasy! This will not disappoint! My only note is I personally did not connect with the two m...
3/5 stars. To be released October 2022.I've always enjoyed Alexandra Cristo's novels and this one was no different. It did however feel very formulaic, as if she had to check some boxes of the typical things that happen in young adult novels. This took a little bit of the enjoyment out of reading simply because it felt like nothing new. I was very engaged in the book about 2/3 of the way through but found myself struggling to finish since it felt like I already knew what was going to happen in t...
