This may be a 4.5. I really appreciated this book. The characters are flawed. The storyline is adorable. The message is beautiful. Obviously there are minor annoyances ‘cause it is a high school rom com, but still. Overall, really fun. I love the authors. They do stellar work. May update this later, but that is all for now.
if i have to read 'LDR' or some form of that acronym one more time ...
Thanks Edelweiss and the publisher for the digital copy in exchange for an honest review. Siena has been dating Patrick for three years but she feels it's time to break up since it's high school and she should have the opportunity to have more experiences on her own, but then when she was just about to end things, he tells her he's moving so she feels it's best to wait for their long distante relationship to fizzle like most of them usually do, but some things change along the way. First of all,...

“you're not a tether to home. home is a tether to you”*4.5it took me 3 hours to fall completely in love with this bookfeeling especially lonely but whatever yk with and without you follows siena, who's been dating patrick for 3 years -- they're the ultimate high school sweethearts. however, siena feels like their relationship is keeping her from finding herself, and she's about to break up with patrick when he tells her that he's moving 1000 miles away for senior year. suddenly, the two of them
Trigger warnings: (view spoiler)[sprained wrist, scene at a hospital. (hide spoiler)]I just loved this book. That's it, that's the review. Thank you to the publisher for sending me an e-ARC through NetGalley. This did not, in any way, influence my thoughts & rating. *thanks to the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest reviewWITH AND WITHOUT YOU is unlike many YA romance books out there, following Patrick and Siena as they've been together for three years and, according to Siena, have fallen into a monotonous relationship. They're forced to go long distance when Patrick moves away, and the story goes from there. Wibbroka wrote the couple's relationship perfectly for the story--even as a reader, you can feel the stilted state of th...
I haven’t ready very many books from these authors, but I love that this is a couple who write together. It makes it feel so romantic. I loved that these two characters were already dating. This felt like a fresh YA book that shows the work and determination of long distance relationships. A story about first loves that last. However, what I didn’t love was the MC. She was wishy washy. The whole book was the same cycle of her inner monologue thinking the same thing. I also wish we’d gotten dual
2.5 Solid concept but I feel like the emotional impact would have been way stronger if we'd gotten two POVs.
Being a product of marrying my high school sweetheart I understood the struggles Siena went through. Though I never had the constant struggle of wanting to break up, I did have the doubts of getting serious so young and the sacrifices it takes to maintain a long distant relationship. I think the authors captured the stuggles perfectly and in a way that wasn’t overdramatizing their situation. The back and forth of should or or shouldn’t I made the first part of this book exhausting. I almost wish...
Thank you to Penguin Teen for providing me with an e-ARC of With and Without You in exchange for an honest review!I'm going to be upfront with you & tell you that I almost DNF'ed this a couple of times. I found Siena to be extremely annoying. However, as I kept reading, I started to appreciate some of the aspects of this book & honestly, With and Without You is a must-read for young adults.Siena & Patrick have spent their entire high school experience together & Siena believes it's time to dis...
I have missed these authors
2.5 starsThank you the the publisher and Netgalley for an eARC.LET DOWN.BLOG || INSTAGRAMI am a huge fan of Wibberley and Sigemund-Broka. Read and enjoyed all of their previous books. This is the first time I have felt truly MEH about how this entire book went. This relationship in crisis trope did not play out well. Siena complained entirely too much and kept pitying Patrick at every turn when she should have just BROKEN UP WITH HIM. Stop making ridiculous excuses. It also really bugged me that
I’m not going to lie, I almost stopped reading about 20% through the book because Siena was so frustrating because she wasn’t making a decision about breaking up with Patrick. That’s on me though because it was supposed to be a second chance romance vibe and I hadn’t been ready for that. That being said, I still found Siena to be a bit too dislikable for my personal taste. It was great to see her grow and I really did like the last 40% of the book because we go too see that growth and the relatio...
I do think the reconciliation was a bit…sudden? but only because we didn’t SEE the months they spent apart? but the writing in this is just so beautiful and patrick and siena’s journeys to finding themselves and realising they can be their own people and be together at the same time was so beautiful to read
And so the Wibbroka cycle begins once again: I start reading and think "eh, this is just okay", the book gets a little slow in the middle so I feel like maybe I actually WON'T like this book, THEN I power through and Emily and Austin were just waiting behind the corner with a baseball bat and hit me in the face with emotions and I end up CRYING because of their book.THAT IS TO SAYYYY this is probably in the lower middle rating of their books. For sure got frustrated with Siena and Patrick's rela...
it's not just a pretty cover!!
I think what impresses me most about this book is just how much they made me care about Siena and Patrick. Given that they're a kind of established couple, I think it could be easy to mess that up, but just like how Siena really fell in love with Patrick over the course of this book, I found myself caring more about their relationship. It's not my favourite Wibbroka, but it's definitely not my least favourite.
I'm not sure where I stand on this one. it was great and cute, but it didn't do it for me. I love the idea though - a second chance romance over a year of visits without the original breakup??? okay!!! dnf at 40% because nothing was really happening. it bothers me when characters can't make up their mind on things, so I was just getting more and more annoyed at siena the longer she volleyed back and forth on breaking up with patrick. she kept talking about wanting to do things to find who she re...
