This is a really interesting book - perhaps the first I've read that focuses on the issue of dealing with racism as well as processing what it means to be black as a churchgoer and an employee of a Christian organisation. Although the author primarily and naturally focuses on her own experience as a black American, I think there's plenty in here for non-Americans to apply in their own lives. Recommend to black readers as an encouragement, and to (in particular) white readers as a call to action....
Great book. Quick read. Full of truths that some may find unpalatable, which makes it more important for it to be read.
