Comixiade tells the unheard narratives of imaginary spaces and back-allies of Europe. It follows the protagonist Oswald, a journalist and musician, and his pig Carmen, in cities like Moscow, Berlin, Brussels, Beirut, Athens and Istanbul, discovering the maps of Ptolemeius, zoologic gardens or ‘Fatal Salads’, while wandering through the White Nights of Finland or the dunes of Terschelling, contemplating about time, isolation, and violence.
“By bringing together cartoonists from different European countries, even beyond the boundaries of the EU, Comixiade is doing a great job in providing common stories, or shall we say a common language, between different realities. It’s a playful way to look into the world around us and find exciting little details, transformed into comics.” – Aleksandar Zograf .
