Very new adult/YA... Don't understand the complete slaughter that went on. Did not make sense. This is a meh for me. However, I did like how the h is very good at kicking ass, more so than her respective male alphas.
Heartbreakingly awesomeWhat a way to start a series!! This one is definitely an emotional roller coaster! I love this author. And she never disappoints. I gotta say, I started the series thinking I’d love for Killian and Sterlyn to be a couple, but I think I like how it’s shaping up. Everyone needs an awesome best friend and griffin needed a reason to step up. Plus Rosemary might be my new favorite! I’m making this review quick because I’m dying to start book 2 cuz that ending literally has me o...
Gobsmacked Oh boy oh boy, such an awesome, amazing yet intriguing book about a lone silver wolf connecting with two alphas in Shadow City and Shadow Ridge. I certainly feel for Dove loosing her entire pack needing to escape but ends up being rescued and bonded to another. Noting some loose ends which concludes with a cliffhanger of an ending. So I’m now waiting with baited breath on who’s now trying to capture little dove. I’ve an inclination on who the other person is so book 2 will lead me on
Fantastic I would recommend this book to anyone. As it’s freaking amazing and you never know what’s around the corner can’t wait to read the next book.
I really did love this book. It was slow yet not to the point it dragged on and got boring. Although, I am a bit mad at myself because I didn't bother to look and see if the other books were out. They are not. I'm so glad book 2 comes out this week though!
A light, but enjoyable, read.Sterlyn is a born female alpha. Daughter to the alpha of the Silver Wolf pack. They are believed to be extinct, but the pack has just been well hidden these past few decades. Silver Moon wolves have more power than normal wolves. They used to be guardians and protectors. But they were being used by the corrupted supernaturals in Shadow City. A “city of refuge” for shifters and supernaturals of all kinds. But some wanted to use their power for evil, so they removed th...
Not much here There wasn't any world building, no character building, no relationship building. There wasn't much but a sliver of a plot that we know nothing about and a few characters thrown at us along with a mate bond. Disappointing read.
Broken Mate is the first book in the Shadow City Series so don't be surprised that it ends on a cliffhanger (and oh what a cliff it ends on.)This series starts off action packed and continues throughout the book. Even though Sterlyn has been training all of her life to lead, that training didn't teach her what was necessary to live outside of their pack. Left with only the parting words from her father, Sterlyn takes off to Shadow City for protection from their enemies. The journey isn't easy an...
I am yet to actually touch this book or even read the whole thing, because I have other books that I am also reading at the same time. What I will say is that, seeing all these negative reviews really pisses me off. I feel like some of these readers don’t even bother to read the book. If you stick with it, it’s worth the read. I don’t need negative reviews with barely and criticism putting down one of my favorite authors who writes many books that mean so much to me. But you know what, if I must...
Sterlyn is a rare wolf in a world where her rarity is important but could also be a death sentence. She isn't near the neighborhood where her pack lives when a group of unknowns invades and slaughters the entire pack, and it isn't until she runs back to her home that she finds out they are looking for her specifically. When her father tells her to run, to escape, it takes all of her willpower to leave everyone behind to their own fate. However, it is in that escape that she meets the sexy guy wh...
It’s hard to know where to start with reviewing this book, so I guess I’ll just rant. There is absolutely no character development. Sterlyn ends up the same at the end of the book as she is at the beginning. This is probably because she is the definition of a Mary Sue character, leaving her with little to no space to grow. We are constantly told how she’s stronger than other wolves with better senses, faster healing, and abilities that other wolves don’t have. She rarely admits to character faul...
Kaboom!! This book starts with a bang and keeps on going. This poor girl has so much to handle in a small amount of time, it is enough to crush someone. She finds her mate while acting as someone else’s girlfriend. There are people after her and the only thing she gets from the conversations she hears it is someone who want to force her to mate and bear him children who will be silver wolves. At the end of the book someone drugs and kidnaps her. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!...
I want to state first and foremost that I love the fact that Sterlyn was helped by a male and didn't fall into instalove with him but into a deep friendship. I love their chemistry together as friends. Damn! When Griffin shows up the sparks do fly. Sterlyn makes another unusual friend that comes to her aid more than once. So much was going on in this book and the ending leaves you wanting more.
Kindle Unlimited.I stayed up way too late finishing this one, only to have it end on a CLIFFHANGER. Ugh. Why?!Other than the stupid ending, I enjoyed this one. I liked the build up of Dove/Steyrling's (Spelling?) character. I liked that she was strong, but was self aware enough to realize when she made stupid mistakes. The romantic relationship was a little shallow, and a little "fated mates/insta-lust," but I liked that they fought it, however briefly. The villains are still a mystery, which I
Amazing Again!!I’ll admit I hated Griffin for most of this book but he redeemed himself. I’m very suspicious about “Richard”, I’m very uncomfortable when he’s around…and probably for good reason right!😉 Can’t wait for book 2 to see if my hunch about the kidnapper is right or not.
Immersive can't put it down, Encapturing, I haven't found any other book for a while that I couldn't put down, then I read this, a must read
