When the day doesn't go the way you want, or the working week seems to stretch on forever, I recommend reading a story of two from this anthology. You won't find sentimental, sugary happy endings, but you will find imaginative tales examining hope in all its guises that invite you to draw your own conclusions, and that take you out of the mundane world. There is everything from obsessive scientists to mutant plants. I particularly enjoyed 'The Sorcerer's Appendix' by Sharon Diane King, 'The Ones...
