While I only read the first book (audio), it was a great book, but it felt rushed at the end. It is a true story of love and survival in the most horrific of circumstances. It will stay with me forever.
While the story is true and a compelling one, Morris' prose is cliched and, despite the subject matter, strangely saccharine. It is subject to what Gwen C. Katz called the "pajamification" of Holocaust fiction, blunting the atrocities, while naming them.
Great book! The story starts out really drawing the readers into Lale's life, however the end felt rush and left me with more questions!
Amazing story on the will to survive. Unbelievable that a prisoner was able to accomplish in a prison camp.
Such a story of survival of the human spirit.
Must read again, good accuratley historical
I just read the first one, and I was not crazy about it. It was a great story to read, but something about it just didn't strike a chord with me. I'd still recommend it though.
SO good! I finished The Tattooist of Auschwitz in two days. Such a great love story and very well written.
No words. Beautifully written and incredible stories.
I read this book and watched life is beautiful and I cried most of the senses. It was like that I have felt all of this before. But if you read this book and liked it so you should watch life is beautiful.
WWII true story and excellent.
