A good book, but be warned...This book was a trigger. If you have body issues, you might want to steer clear. I had to skip most of the middle and just go to the end. It was a good story, well written, but not a book for me unfortunately. 5 star writing with 2 stars for ⚠️ warning. Step back of you aren't healed.
Quick read, interesting, not for everyone: 4.5 starsWhen none of the First Reads options sound appealing, I usually get the children's book. This time, the least off-putting for my mood was Full, though I had wished to read a preview. I ended with this choice because, having only high ranking reviews, I wanted to be able to give a different POV.How surprised I was that I enjoyed this women's fiction - very rare for me. I'm looking at 60, and the journey & reflections of the late-20s protagonist
I actually enjoyed this book. It was well written with likeable characters. * Please be warned though it describes an eating disorder in a lot of detail *
Full by Julia Spiro. Thanks to #anazonfirstreads for the gifted e-Arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️After a horrible night, Ava drunkenly signs herself up for a wellness retreat. The next day she finds out she is committed to going; no refunds. How will she manager her influencer career from the retreat? How will she continue to hide her secret?I will always read a fiction that deals with eating disorders and I will always read books about influencers. This has both so I knew I was going to love it. It ended up bei...
I have never left a book review, but felt extremely compelled after just finishing this book. As an influencer myself, I completely identify with Ava’s struggles with self-image and the social media monstrosity. I was floored as she depicted in detail her life with bulimia and how she managed to be a high-functioning bulimic. I know a lot of reviewers here have expressed disgust for the detail in which the author goes into about this eating disorder. But this is why I go see a movie, or read a b...
I would say this is more a 3.5. This is a solid read; however, it is not a book for everyone. I write this as a person who has experienced disorder eating and urge any reader to pick up this book with caution due to the triggering nature. The book itself, the story, the growth of the characters, the setting, its all good. I enjoyed the book and it was a fast paced read. The character Ava is a bit...unlikeable at first, but you still care and are invested in her. The whole "influencer" idea is on...
Predictable...and just plain unappealingI received a digital version of this for free from Amazon Prime, so I gave it a shot. However, I quickly realized the protagonist...a social media wellness influencer who is hiding her eating disorder...is terribly uninteresting. It quickly grew tedious reading about her bulimia episodes and worries about maintaining her Instagram account. Just not my type of read...However, if this sort of thing interests you, you might find this to be a quick, easy read....
I didn't particularly care for this book. I really didn't like Ava. It felt like she thought she was above everything the retreat was trying to do. She was very fake (which is a theme in the book), but never really seemed like she even wanted to be authentic. She didn't even try to get better until 90 percent through the book, and then it was so sudden that it didn't really make sense. This book goes into a lot of detail about her bulimia but not about her therapy and getting better. She only co...

I loved this book and the realistic sometimes broken, sometimes extraordinary main character. It was just that right blend of easy reading without a bubblegum romantic feel to it. I feel full after reading it. Congratulations to the author. Beautiful book.
Full is a well written but predictable read. It was a clever twist to what everyone already knows. I think the book played into how we all know what we see on social media isn't real but that doesn't stop us from wanting to be like those people who have their lives together. I know I'm guilty of seeing people on social media and thinking "well why do they have their lives together and I don't?", "they're the same age as me but have achieved way more". Even though I know in my head that it is all...
